Risk of injury caused by slipping with the SATA extraction
tool [3-1]
The air distribution ring is fitted firmly in the gun body. Injuries can be
caused if the SATA extraction tool slips during dismantling.
→ Wear protective gloves.
→ Always use the SATA extraction tool pointing away from your body.
→ Pull the air distribution ring evenly out of the nozzle head.
Damage from incorrect dismantling
Pulling the air distribution ring off without due caution can damage the
sealing edges in the gun body.
→ Remove the air distribution ring with extreme caution.
Note!
After removing the air distribution ring, check the sealing surface in the
automatic gun. If damaged, please contact the SATA customer service
department (address see chapter 14).
Dismantle the air distribution ring
■ Disassemble nozzle set (see chapter 9.1).
■ Remove the air distribution ring [7-1] using the SATA extraction tool
[7-2].
■ Check sealing surface for soiling, clean if necessary. Mount the air
distribution ring
■ Insert the air distribution ring in the gun body [8-1].
■ Only for SATAminijet 1000 A S HVLP: The pin [8-2] of the air
distribution ring must be aligned accordingly.
■ Press the air distribution ring in evenly.
■ Assemble nozzle set (see chapter 9.1).
■ After installation, adjust the material flow (see chapter 8.2).
■ Check if the gun works properly by producing a test spray pattern on a
paper sheet prior to continue painting !
