PRODUCT INFORMATION
MPC 65 • MPC 66
Thank you for selecting the MPC 65/MPC 66
acoustical boundary condenser microphone. Please
take some time to read carefully through this product
information before setting up the equipment.
Applications
The MPC 65/MPC 66 has been designed for
the unobtrusive use in tele/video conferencing,
round table discussions etc. Furthermore, it is very
well suited for studio or live recordings.
Due to the acoustical boundary principle, the MPC 65/
MPC 66 features:
1. A linear frequency response without any comb
filter effects.
2. A natural and transparent sound.
3. In contrast to free standing microphones, the
phase coincidence of direct and reflected signal
results in a gain of 6 dB and better S/N ratio.
4. An integrated rumble filter eliminates wind and
low frequencies.
5. The MPC 65 features a half-cardioid polar pattern,
which increases the gain-before-feedback and
reduces the ambient noise.
6. The MPC 66 features a half-spherical polar pattern.
Connection
All the versions of the MPC 65/MPC 66 have
an integrated pre-amp with balanced output. For
operation they need a phantom power supply.
The MPC 65 V/MPC 66 V is equipped with a 3 m
long connecting cable with free ends (connection:
red = AF+, yellow = AF-, ground).
The MPC 65 VC/MPC 66 VC is equipped with a XLR-
plug in the base plate (connection: 2 = AF+, 3 = AF-,
1 = ground). A special XLR socket is supplied (fastening
hole: 24 mm, 15/16").
