7.2 Pre-set values

Use this procedure to reset the factory values both
for the coffee beverage doses.
Proceed as follows:
• Turn the machine off;
• without touching the push-button panel, switch the
machine back on and after about 1 second, press and

hold down the
push-button panel;
• Release the buttons only after having checked that

only the LED of both push-buttons panels (PROG./
STOP keys) is flashing;
• turn the machine OFF and ON.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

8.1 Safety precautions

Carefully read the instructions provided in chapter "I SAFETY PRECAUTIONS" page 25 .

8.2 Periodic maintenance

Besides carrying out maintenance activities according to the frequency specified in the table, a general inspec-
tion must be carried out on the machine at least once a year or when a "Maintenance warning" is displayed by a
Qualified Technician.
Component Type of operation
Keep checking the heating unit pressure which must be between 0.08 and
PRESSURE GAUGE
0.14 MPa (0.8 and 1.4 bar).
Periodically check the water pressure when coffee is being dispensed:
PRESSURE GAUGE check the pressure indicated on the gauge, which must be in the range of
0.8 to 0.9 MPa (8 and 9 bar).
Check the condition of the filters. Check for any damage on the edge of
FILTERS and PORTAFILTERS the filters and check whether any coffee grounds settle in the coffee cup
and replace filters and/or filter holders, as required.
Check the ground coffee dose (between 6 and 7 grams per time); check
the degree of grinding. The grinders must always have sharp cutting
edges. Their deterioration is indicated by the presence of too much
GRINDER-DOSER
powder in the grounds. We recommend calling the Qualified Technician
to replace the flat grinders after every 400/500 kg of coffee. For conical
grinders, replace every 800/900 kg.
WATER FILTER Replace the water filter cartridge or regenerate the water softener as
WATER SOFTENER often as specified by the manufacturer.
We recommend that you call out the Technical Assistance at least once
HEATING UNIT
every three months to replace the water in the heating unit.
We recommend contacting Technical Assistance at least every 3
DRIP TRAY
months in order to clean the drip tray.
Component problems highlighted in grey require the machine to be switched off and one of the Qualified Technicians to be called out.
