3. If the finger is not recognised, the red LED lights up. The finger must be drawn across the
sensor again. If non-recognition continues repeatedly, the finger may not be authorised (see
5.10).
5.8.1 Reset: Deleting all saved fingerprints
To delete all saved fingerprints, a reset must be carried out. The device is then back in the de-
livery setting. To do this, a master finger is first drawn over the sensor twice in quick succession
and then once again (three times in total):
• After the second reading of the master finger, the delete mode is initialised (both LEDs flash).
• After the third reading of the master finger, the delete process is started (green LED lights
up).
• The device subsequently returns to delivery setting (red + green LEDs are constantly lit)
Alternative procedure using the remote control
Precondition: The device is in operation setting (no LED is lit).
The delete code (6-digit code, factory setting) is shown on a sticker attached to the remote
control.
Entry using the infra-red remote control (held in front of the LED):
Each press of the keys is confirmed by the green LED briefly lighting up. The device sub-
sequently returns to delivery setting (red + green LEDs are constantly lit). If the code is not
accepted, the red LED lights up briefly.
5.8.2 Deleting individual saved finger prints in the Advanced mode
Requirements: The device is in operating mode (no LED lit).
1. Draw a master finger over the sensor (red and green LEDs light up briefly).
