5.2 Functional description
The Oventrop dwelling station "Regudis W-HTU Duo"
with heating circuit separation system supplies heat
as well as hot and cold potable water to individual
dwellings without using auxiliary heating.
The hot water for heating purposes is provided by a
central heat supply. The potable water is heated locally
via a heat exchanger according to the continuous
flow principle. The control range is adjustable between
40-70 °C.
The additional heat exchanger on the heating side
allows the separation of the supply system (primary
circuit) and the heating circuit of the dwelling (secon-
dary circuit). The dwelling station is for instance used
in dwellings with open vented surface heating systems
or in existing systems with system related oxygen
input.
Heating operation:
Heating water passes across the distributor / collector
via the angle pattern valve (15) and enters the heat
exchanger of the heating circuit (13) via the supply of
the heating system (D).
The proportional flow controller (2) releases the path
heating circuit return (G) - supply return (E).
The heat is transmitted to the heating supply of
the dwelling (F) via the heat exchanger (13). The flow
temperature of the heating circuit of the dwelling (F)
is continuously controlled by the contact sensor (16)
and the flow volume of the hot fluid is adjusted by the
angle pattern valve (15). The fluid is transported by
a high-efficiency pump (14) which is located in the
heating circuit return of the dwelling (G). The heating
circuit features a safety valve (17), a pressure gauge
(18), an isolating facility (19) and a diaphragm
expansion tank (20).
Heating of potable water:
The proportional flow controller (2) switches to
a potable water priority function if hot water is
demanded in the dwelling. The heating water of the
supply (D) passes across the plate heat exchanger
(1) and the PM controller (2) and enters the supply
return (E). The cold potable water (C) is warmed up
according to the continuous flow principle and is
available at the hot water supply of the dwelling (A).
