7.5 SAFETY DEVICES
Tilt switch
The tilt switch is mounted on the framework
of the machine. The window around the
probe of the tilt switch is secured to the
movable part of the machine.
When the machine goes out of balance
through overloading or uneven distribution
of the linen, the tilt switch will interrupt
spinning to prevent damage.
sensor
Important
To guarantee good functioning, the probe
should be horizontally centred and
vertically at 1/3 from the tilt window
bottom edge (when the machine drum is
empty).
7.6 ORDINARY MAINTENANCE
(to be carried out by the user)
Clean the entire machine cabinet regularly
and remove all traces of soap etc.
remove all detergent residue in the soap
dispenser with hot water.
Clean the door gasket and remove rests of
detergents or other products.
Shut off the main water, steam and power
connections at the end of each day of duty.
Do not change the setting of the water inlet
taps on boiler fed machines once these have
been installed.
It is recommended to leave the door and the
soap dispenser open after use to ventilate the
machine.
BEFORE ANY MAINTENANCE OR
CLEANING OPERATIONS, CHECK
THAT THE WALL CUTOFF SWITCH
IS OFF AND THE HOT WATER, COLD
WATER AND STEAM TAPS ARE
CLOSED (THE LATTER APPLIES TO
STEAM-HEATED MACHINES ONLY).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR
MAINTENANCE AND
REPAIR PERSONNEL
8. SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE
AND ORDERING SPARE PARTS
8.1 PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
(to be carried out by the technical personnel)
All maintenance operations must be carried
out by the authorised after-sales service or
by qualified personnel.
window
BEFORE ANY MAINTENANCE OR
CLEANING OPERATION, CHECK THAT
THE WALL CUTOFF SWITCH IS OFF
AND THE HOT WATER, COLD WATER
AND STEAM TAPS ARE CLOSED (THE
LATTER APPLIES TO STEAM-HEATED
MACHINES ONLY).
Be very careful during maintenance. NEVER
skip or ignore safety devices. Use only
original spare parts. If doubts should arise,
contact your sales person immediately,
explaining what the fault is and indicating
some information on the machine: model
and serial number (details reported on the
rating plate appearing on the rear of the
machine).
PERIODICAL INSPECTION AND
SERVICING
Two to three months after machine startup,
the V-belts of the motors should be
retightened to compensate for their stretching
out. Ignoring this instruction will inevitably
cause the belts to slip and break untimely.
Check regularly for scale blocking the filters
of the water inlet.
If a machine skips the final spin often, check
whether the out-of-balance switch probe is
in the appropriate position, i.e. horizontally
centred and vertically 1/3 from the bottom
inside the window (when the drum is empty).
An obstructed drain can cause frequent
interruption of spinning, due to the tripping
of safety devices.
The automatic lubricator needs to be replaced
every year.
BEFORE TURNING THE MACHINE ON
BY THE CUTOFF SWITCH ON THE
WALL, PUT ALL THE PANELS
REMOVED BACK IN PLACE.
8.2 IDENTIFYING AND ORDERING
°
C.
SPARE PARTS
To identify the codes of spare parts refer to
the exploded drawings and relevant list. Once
you have identified your codes, send a
standard written order to the manufacturer,
mentioning clearly the model, serial number,
feed voltage and frequency of your appliance
and, of course, including the code and
description of the spare part you need.
9. MACHINE LAY UP,
DISMANTLING AND DISPOSAL
If the washing machine is no longer to be
used, it is advisable to put it out of service
and suitably dispose of the resulting
materials, considering the indications
provided in chapter 3. For the sake of the
environment, please sort the materials in
accordance with the waste disposal
provisions in force in your country, so that
they can be properly disposed of or recycled.
All the parts composing the machine can be
treated as solid urban waste, except for the
metal parts, which nevertheless are not
classed among special waste in most
European countries.
