5.2
The combined safety valve is included with the container. It is connected
to the hot water container through its Rp 1/2 (inner) thread, and to the
water supply network through its G1/2 (outer) thread.
In the direction of the water flow, the valve body
includes: one-way valve, spring loaded bypass
valve triggered by a pressure difference of
0.01~0.02 MPa, safety valve with 0.65±0.05 Mpa
opening pressure, and outlet pipe.
The valve must be installed on the cold water line
IMMEDIATELY before the container observing the
flow direction indicated by the arrow.
Before installing the valve, the cold water pipeline
must be carefully flushed, in order to avoid
damages due to possible contaminations.
The valve may leak, whereby the outlet should be directed vertically downwards,
and the blow-off button should be accessible. The valve outlet must be directed
downward, and water may leak from the drainage pipe of the pressure release
device. This pipe must be left open towards the air space. The drainage pipe must
be directed downwards (from the appliance) into a frost free room, and free
drainage must be ensured towards the air space. To ensure the proper operation
of the water heater, carefully observe the commissioning drawing. You can direct
leaking water into the sewage network in a visible way.
5.3
If the water pressure in the pipeline exceeds 0.6 MPa, even on a
temporary basis, a pressure reduction valve has to be mounted in front of the hot
water tank. This must be purchased and installed by the customer. The pressure
reduction valve is inserted in front of the combined safety valve. (Fig. 3, page 132)
5.4
Any number of taps and mixing faucets can be mounted on the hot water
container. You can prevent the back-flow of hot water via the taps by mounting a
one-way valve in front of the water network. (Not included with the product.)
5.5
A closing valve needs to be mounted in the water pipeline in front of the
safety valve and pressure reduction valve, in order to enable the disconnection of
the appliance from the water network for the purposes of maintenance.
5.6
If the user may be exposed to hot water during the withdrawal of water,
we recommend to implement a hydraulic connection with hot water protection.
