Recipes for Snacks

Pumpkin Seed Cream

• 3 cups soaked pumpkin seeds
• 1-2 tablespoon red miso (Azuki Miso)
• 1 tsp. yeast flakes
• 1 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
(more if desired)
Yields: just under 500 ml
Rinse the pumpkin seeds thoroughly and then
dry them in a towel. Slowly add the soaked
pumpkin seeds into the feeding chute while the
auger is running.
Using a fork, mix the remaining ingredients into
the pumpkin seed cream.
Serve the cream as a dip for raw food bread-
sticks or crackers. This cream is also a delicious
spread for bread.

Almond Enchantment

• 3 cups soaked almonds,
blanched if desired
• 100 g Raw cacao bliss
• ½ TL spices as desired (i.e. vanilla,
cinnamon)
• Some honey for sweetening
• Coconut flakes for garnishing
Yields: 8-12 pieces
Rinse the almonds and then dry them in a
towel. Slowly add the soaked almonds along
with the Raw cacao bliss into the feeding chute
while the auger is running.
If necessary, continue to knead the coconut
dream into the almond butter by hand and
then sweeten it with honey as desired.
Cool your Almond Enchantment until it gets
firm, and cut it into pieces before serving. Serve
cooled and garnished with coconut flakes.
Rockin' Rye Sticks
• 3 cups rye grains
• 2/3 cup flaxseeds
• 2/3 cup pumpkin seeds
• ¼ cup caraway
• 2 cloves garlic
• 1 tsp. miso (i.e. red or barley miso)
• Sea salt
Yields: 30-40 bread sticks
Mix the rye, flaxseeds, pumpkin seeds, and
caraway seeds in a bowl and add twice this
amount of water to the mixture. Cover the bowl
with a towel and let the seeds germinate for
8-12 hours.
Caution: Never put whole grains or un-soaked
seeds into your Z-Star
®
Pour off the water and rinse the seeds tho-
roughly. Put the seed mixture into a sieve and
place a bowl under it. Cover everything with a
towel again and let the mixture germinate for
another 8-12 hours.
Slowly pour the seeds that are still moist into
the feeding chute. Z-Star
your dough into breadsticks. It is best if you
catch these directly on a baking tray.
Dry the breadsticks at 40°C / 100°F for 6-12
hours on the tray until they have the desired
crispness. Serve the breadsticks warm with
pumpkin seed cream or with a dip.
