Operation

Take heed of noise protection
and local regulations. Do not trim
hedges during rest periods.
• While trimming mind not to
touch any objects such as wire
fences or plant supports since
this may damage the blade bar.
• In case a solid object obstructs
the blades, immediately turn off
the appliance and remove the
object.

The handle turns left and right by 90°
either side. This allows you to choose the
most convenient and comfortable position.
RUN
Trimming ornamental hedges:
Hedges should be trimmed to a trapezoid
shape in order to prevent the bottom twigs
from becoming bare. This is imitating nat-
ural plant growth and the best way of let-
ting the hedges thrive. Since trimming just
affects the new shoots, the branches will
grow more densely and perfectly screen
your garden from sight.
• Avoid too much stress on the
appliance.

Adjusting the handle

Push down the handle adjustment
knob (11) and turn the handle to the
appropriate position. It will audibly
snap in.
Do not press the throttle at that
time because this will disallow the
handle to move.

Trimming tips

Use loppers to cut thicker branches
first.
The double-sided blade bar lets you
cut in either direction or to move to
and fro from side to side.
When cutting down vertically, move
the appliance evenly forward or up
and down in a bow-like motion.
When cutting horizontally, move the
appliance in a crescent-like motion to-
wards the edge of the hedge to allow
twigs to drop down.
Attach strings to help you cut long
straight lines.
