OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR IW75AP-6H, IW75AP-8H, & IW75AP-4S
FORESEEN USE OF TOOL
Impact wrenches should only be used to install and remove threaded fasteners.
AIR SUPPLY
The efficiency of the tool is dependent on the proper supply of clean dry air at 90 psig (6.2 bar). The use of a line filter, pressure regulator,
and lubricator will insure maximum output and life of tools. Before connecting tool, blow out the air line to remove water and dirt which may
have accumulated.
HOSE AND HOSE CONNECTIONS
Supply hose should be not less than 3/8" (10 mm) I.D. Extension hoses should be at least 1/2" (13 mm) I.D. Use couplings and fittings with
at least 1/2" (13 mm) I.D. When using quick couplers, install a 6 ft (2 m) leader hose between tool and quick couplers.
LUBRICATION
Use SIOUX No. 288 air motor oil. An airline lubricator, set to deliver 1 to 2 drops per minute, is recommended. If a lubricator is not used,
add .06 oz. (1.8 cc, 18 to 22 drops) of oil into the air inlet once daily.
MAINTENANCE
Disassemble, clean, and inspect the impact mechanism every two months. Coat all impact surfaces, splines and mating surfaces with
Sioux Catalog No. 1205-04Z grease and reassemble.
Inspect the tool daily for loose or missing fasteners. Tight all loose fasteners and replace all missing fasteners immediately.
REVERSING SPINDLE ROTATION
The direction of the spindle rotation is controlled with the revering lever
located in the front of the motor housing, above the trigger. Refer to
illustration for spindle rotation vs. reveres lever position.
SOCKETS
Use only impact sockets in good shape.
Use deep impact socket impact rather than extension bars.
