• NEVER place the lid on the appliance when the appliance
is warming up nor whilst fonduing.

Whilst heating the liquid, stir the pot every now and then so
that the liquid is slowly heated.

The light will go out once the desired temperature has been
reached. You can now start to fondue.
Heating cheese or chocolate

Select a recipe for cheese or chocolate fondue.

Put the plug in the wall socket. The red indicator light will be
lit to indicate that the appliance has been turned on.

Prepare the mixture for the fondue according to the recipe.

Rotate the temperature-control dial to the desired setting.
The orange indicator light will be lit.
• Do not set the temperature too high when heating cheese
or chocolate, otherwise the mixture may become burnt or
boil over.

Whilst heating the mixture, stir the pot every now and then
so that the mixture is slowly heated and does not become
lumpy.

The light will go out once the desired temperature has been
reached. You can now start to fondue.
Fondue

Prick a piece of food onto the fondue fork.

Place the fork in the heated mixture. If using oil or stock,
allow the piece of food to cook by resting the fork on the
fondue ring. If using cheese or chocolate, you only have to
dip the piece of food in the fondue.
• If using oil, make sure the food is not too moist,
otherwise the oil may spit.
• To avoid damage, do not prick the forks into the pot.

Remove the fork from the pot. The food can now be eaten.
• Be careful, the food will be hot!
Cleaning and maintenance
• Never move the appliance when it is switched on or is
still hot. Switch off the appliance and wait until it has
cooled down before moving it.
• Never use corrosive or scouring cleaning agents.
• Make sure that the plug has been removed from the wall
socket before cleaning the appliance.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Ensure that no moisture gets into the electrical parts of
the appliance.

Remove the plug from the wall socket and let the appliance
cool down completely.

Remove the mixture from the fondue pot. Use kitchen paper
to dry the pot.

Clean the fondue pot with warm soapy water.
• Cleaning tip: place a cup of water and a small amount of
washing-up liquid in the pot. Set the heating element to
the lowest setting. Leave for 10 minutes and then turn off
the appliance. Rinse the pot thoroughly and then dry it.
• The fondue pot, the fondue ring and the sauce bowls can
also be cleaned in a dishwasher.

Clean the heating base with a damp cloth, Dry it thoroughly
afterwards.
