SPECIAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
•
The appliance may only be used for
heating, grilling and browning foods
such as meat, fish and vegetables.
The appliance must not be used for the
preparation of dry foods such as bread or
packaged foods.
•
The appliance may only be used with the
grill insert and drip tray fitted!
•
Make sure that there is water in the drip
tray throughout the cooking process
to prevent dripping fat or oil igniting or
burning onto the drip tray.
•
Always use the handle provided when
handling the grill racks or trays. The
handle must not remain on the rack or tray
during cooking. Always use oven gloves
or pot holders when you need to touch the
handle so that you do not burn yourself on
it.
•
The appliance must be kept under
supervision throughout the cooking
process. The high temperature in the
appliance may cause food or fat from food
to ignite.
•
Make sure that the food does not come
into contact with the infrared heating
element at the top of the appliance.
•
Do not cover the vents on the appliance as
this may cause it to overheat.
•
Once you have finished using the
appliance, switch it off at the on/off button
but leave it plugged into the socket. The
built-in fan continues to run and cools
the appliance until its temperature falls
to about 60 °C. If you disconnect the
appliance from the mains before then, it
may overheat!
•
The grill insert may only be removed from
the appliance once it has fully cooled.
•
There must be at least 15 cm of space on
all sides of the appliance and at least 50
cm above it.

Keep the appliance a safe distance from
curtains, drapes, tablecloths and the like.
•
Do not place the appliance under a wall
cupboard or in a corner.
•
The appliance's feet may leave marks
on the surface in some circumstances.
If necessary, place the appliance on a
plate or similar to protect the surface
underneath.
•
Do not expose the appliance to water,
humidity or splashes. If water gets onto
the appliance while it is hot, the appliance
may give off spray or steam!
In the event of a fire in the appliance
•
Disconnect the appliance from the mains
immediately by pulling the plug out of the
socket.
•
Extinguish the fire with suitable
extinguishing equipment. Do not use water
as this can cause burning fat or oil to
spread explosively!
In the event of a power cut
In the event of a power cut the automatic fan
continues to function and the appliance may
get very hot. Therefore, in the event of a power
cut, do as follows:
Remove the food from the appliance.
•
Unplug the appliance.
•
Check that there are no objects touching
the appliance's casing.
•
Keep the appliance under supervision until
it has completely cooled down.
