Control Panel
Input 1 Mic/Line Channel
1. Combi-Jack Input
This input is optimized for microphones (balanced or
unbalanced) but can also be used for line-level sources
such as keyboards.
2. Gain Control
Use this control to set the input gain for Input 1.
3. Tone Control
This is a "tilt" tone control. Set it to 12 o'clock for a flat (neutral)
sound. Turn it clockwise to emphasize high frequencies and
counter-clockwise to emphasize low frequencies.
Input 2 Instrument Channel
4. 1/4-inch Phone Jack Input
This input is meant for connecting musical instruments
such as an electric guitar, bass or keyboards.
5. Gain Control
Use this control to set the gain of Input 2.
Aux Input (Media)
6. RCA Input Jacks
This input is designed for audio sources such as MP3
players or CD players. The Stereo RCA inputs sum
the left and right audio signals to allow for use in the
Traynor TVM15 amplifier.
7. Aux Volume
Use the Aux Volume control to set the audio level for the
Aux Input (Media).
TVM15 Master Equalization
8. Bass Control
The Bass control adjusts the low frequencies of the
TVM15's output. Set to 12 o'clock for a flat/neutral sound
and rotate left or right to cut or boost the low frequencies.
9. Mid Control
Use this control to adjust the mid-range frequencies. Set
it to 12 o'clock for a flat/neutral sound.
10. Treble Control
Use this control to adjust the high frequencies of the
TVM15. Set to 12 o'clock is a neutral setting, rotate left
to cut or right to boost the high frequencies.
Line Out
11. Line Out Jack
All of the audio signals connected to the Traynor TVM15
are sent through the ¼-inch Line Out jack, pre-EQ. It's
used for providing your audio signal to the PA or recording
gear but can also be used to daisy-chain multiple TVM15s.
Tip: To daisy chain TVM15s, connect to any of the inputs on
the downstream units (the best result will be achieved by
using channel 1 with a 1/4-inch TRS cable - an unbalanced
TS will still work). Since the line out is Pre-EQ it is advised
to set the EQ on the daisy-chained units the same.
Power Switch and LED
12. Power switch
The power switch turns the TVM15 on and off and the
LED illuminates indicating the unit is on.
Tip: The Traynor TVM15 can be used while recharging,
but this slows down the charging process. For the fastest
charging time, ensure this switch is set to the off position.
Rear Panel
13. DC Charger Input
Plug in the included AC adapter to charge the battery or
to operate while charging.
14. Charge Status LED
This LED is illuminated while the battery is being
charged. If the charger is connected and the light is off,
the charge cycle is complete.
15. Battery Level LEDs
These LEDs give you a relative indication of the
remaining charge in the battery. If only the red LED
is illuminated, shut-down due to low battery power is
imminent; either power down the amplifier or connect
the charger as soon as possible.
Note: The Battery Level LEDs DO NOT illuminate while the
AC adapter is connected.
Notes on Battery Life
Even though the Traynor TVM15 is equipped with
battery maintenance circuitry to help extend the life
of your battery, the following good practices can help
improve your battery's longevity even further:
• DO NOT keep the charger connected indefinitely.
Disconnect the charger when the charging cycle is
complete.
• When not using the TVM15 for extended periods of
time, recharge the battery once monthly.
• DO NOT store the TVM15 for extended periods of
time with a discharged battery.
NOTE: If the charge cycle lasts longer than 24 hours
(Charger LED does not turn off) discontinue use of your
TVM15 immediately and contact your dealer about a
replacement battery.
Note: The Sealed Lead Acid battery in this product is not
user serviceable/replaceable. All service should be referred
to a qualified service technician.
