d) Random switching
This function allows the connected device, e.g. a light, to be switched on and off randomly,
e.g. between 18.00 and 06.00 the following day. The random program is repeated daily. The
switch-on duration can be between 10 and 26 minutes. The switch-off duration can be between
26 and 42 minutes.
Random switching has priority over all other settings. When using/activating the
random switching program, all other program settings are ignored.
1. To activate random switching, press the RND button (6) in clock mode.
2. The 'RDN' symbol appears on the LC display (5). The switching timer is now set to switch
ON/OFF randomly.
e) Countdown timer
The timer switch can perform a countdown. After the set countdown time has elapsed, the
power is switched off. The duration of a countdown can be set between a minimum of 1 minute
and a maximum of 99 hours and 59 minutes.
All other settings are ignored during the countdown process.
1. To set the time of the countdown timer, press the CD button (7) in clock mode. The minute
setting flashes on the display (5). Press the + (10) or - (1) button to increase or decrease
the minutes.
2. Press the CD button (7) again.. The hour setting flashes on the LC display. Press the + or -
button to increase or decrease the number of hours on the countdown timer.
3. Press the CD button again to confirm the setting and exit the countdown setting.

(11) to cancel the countdown manually and return to the time
display. Alternatively, you can also press one of the four delete buttons (9) if the lid (11)
needs to be opened.
f) Switching between manual switching and function modes
In clock mode with the lid (11) open, you can manually determine the switching status (on or off)
regardless of the set switching program. Switch over manually as follows:
1. Press the switchover button (3) to change the switching status. The switching status on
or off is displayed. 'ON' or 'OFF' appears on the LC display. The clock icon is no longer
displayed. It disappears.
2. Press one of the 4delete buttons (9) to switch the product on or off manually.
3. With the lid (11) open, simply press it to switch on/off manually.
4. To switch from time mode to program mode, press the PROG button (4). The 'PROG'
symbol is shown on the LC display (5).

the LC display.

g) Setting summer (DST)
The product can be set to summer time.
To switch to summer time, press the + button (10) in clock mode. The '+1h' symbol is shown on
the LC display (5). Summer time is active.
Press the - button (1) in clock mode. The '1hr' symbol disappears from the LC display. Summer
time has been deactivated again.
h) Resetting the timer
If the product is no longer working correctly or if you want to completely delete the existing
settings, press and hold the reset button R (8) to restore the factory settings.
Care and cleaning
• Before cleaning the product, disconnect it from the power supply (switch off the circuit brea-
ker).
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these
may damage the enclosure or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable
regulatory guidelines.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Battery information
You are required by law to return all used batteries (Battery Directive). They must not
be placed in household waste.
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to indicate
that disposal in household waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals
in batteries are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery,
e.g. below the waste bin icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to environmental protection.
