• Alternatively, surface mounting is also possible. To do this, fasten the supplied socket for
surface mounting in a suitable place (wall) close to mains connection. Depending on the
surface, use the screws and dowels provided. Use dowels and screws for mineral surfaces
(masonry, concrete). Drill and insert the dowels before screwing them in. Screws are suffici-
ent for mounting on wood and wood-based materials. When mounting on drywall materials,
you should use the appropriate special dowel materials (not included).
When drilling holes in the wall or screwing in, make sure that not to damage any
electrical cables or water pipes.
• Ensure that the connections for the timer switch are dead during installation.
• Ensure that the connection cables are not kinked or squashed. This can cause malfunc-
tions, short circuits and device defects.
a) Connecting the product
The supply voltage to the timer switch is 230 V/AC, 50 Hz. A maximum ohmic load of 1800 W
can be connected.
Ensure the the power supply cables is dead during connection.
Operation
a) Replacing the batteries (LR44 button cells)
If the LC display becomes unclear and weak, the batteries should be replaced.
1. To do this, remove the wall cover with the switch element. To replace the batteries, remove
the used batteries from the battery compartment in the switch element using a suitable tool.
2. Insert two new button cells (LR44, SR44) into the battery compartment, observing the cor-
rect polarity (+ positive terminal and - negative terminal).
3. Replace the switch element and wall cover.

The functions of the individual buttons correspond to those of the lid
button.
Operation
You need to open the hinged lid (11) before you can program the product. The control buttons
are located behind it. Use a suitable tool, e.g. a screwdriver. Proceed very carefully in order
not to damage the housing.
1. Disassemble the product into the three parts of
the switch shown.
2. There is a plastic separating strip between the
batteries to prevent discharge of the batteries in-
serted in the factory before they are used for the
first time. Remove this plastic separating strip to
activate the batteries and thus put the product
into operation. Remove it carefully.
3. Connect the electrical connections as shown
in the connection diagram (circuit diagram). At-
tention! The consumer is only connected to the
phase. Do not swap this over.
4. Insert the timer switch into the appropriate flush-
mounted socket. Firmly tighten the fastening
screws for the socket. Do not over-tighten them.
5. Insert the wall cover with the switch element into
the frame. Then, connect this pre-assembled
component to the lower part. When positioning
the pin, point it towards the opening in the lower
part. Both are used for easier alignment of the
two components.
a) Time setting
Set the time when you use the device for the first time. Proceed as follows:
1. Press the clock button
(2) to switch to the time setting. The day setting starts to flash on
the LC display (5).
2. Press the + (10) or - (1) button to set the day. Press the clock button
setting. The hours being to flash on the LC display.
3. Press the + or - buttons to set the hours. Press the clock button
indicator flashes on the display.
4. Press the + or - buttons to set the minutes. Press the clock button
to confirm the current time setting and to exit setting mode.
b) Setting options for switching programs - weekdays
The product switches the circuit on or off. These switching operations can be programmed. 15
different weekly settings can be programmed. These are as follows:

c) Programming
Switching operations ON and OFF (ON/OFF)
1. Press the PROG button (4). The display '1 ON' flashes to indicate programming mode. You
can program the switching times and operations according to day of the week, hour and
minute. Other setting options are deactivated in programming mode.
2. Press the PROG button. The selection options for weekdays flash on the LC display (5).
Refer to chapter 'b) Setting options for switching programs - weekdays'. Press the + (10)
or - (1) buttons to select one of the 15 options (several days together or the individual day).
3. Press the PROG button again. The hour indicator flashes on the LC display (5). Press the +
or - buttons to select the hours. The hours are displayed in 24-hour format.
4. Press the PROG button again. The minute flashes on the LC display. Press the + or - button
to set the minutes. You have now set the first switching operation (switch-on).
5. To delete your current program setting of a memory slot during the programming process
and continue programming the next slot, press one of the 4 small delete buttons (9). The
programming sequence jumps to the next possible setting.
6. Repeat the aforementioned procedure in the same way to set the second switching opera-
tion (switch-off) for this program.
To select settings in the quick loop, press and hold the + or - button.
7. You can then set the switching operations for all other program slots in the same way.
8. Press the clock button
(2) to exit programming mode.
If, during programming, you do not press any buttons for more than 10 seconds,
programming mode will automatically close.
