Adjustment:
A two-stage guide plate is mounted in the housing of the boundary spreader system, which
can be slid along lettered and numbered scales.
The lettered scale is used to set the first stage guide plate in the necessary position, depend-
ing on fertiliser type and desired spreading mode i.e. boundary or border spreading. Release
both positioning nuts (Diagram 12, Figs 25a and 25b) with the help of the adjustment lever
attached to the machine and slide the guide plate (Diagram 12, Fig. 26) until the arrow indi-
cator is next to the corresponding letter given in the setting chart (Diagram 12, Fig.21) to
achieve desired fertiliser type and spreading mode. Tighten the inner positioning nut (Dia-
gram 12, Fig.25a) nearest to the lettered scale.
The numbered scale is mainly used to set the second stage slide plate in the necessary posi-
tion to achieve the desired working width. By moving the slide plate (Diagram 12, Fig. 27) at
its outer edge, the correct number given in the setting chart is positioned next to the notch in
the guide plate (Diagram12, Fig. 26), to achieve the desired working width. By tightening the
outer positioning nut (Diagram 12, Fig. 25b) both guide stage elements are locked into place.
The setting example shown in diagram 12 corresponds to a border spreading mode using
granular urea, for a 12m = working width i.e. M – 4
