Insert laterally the grey 3-P plug into the socket in the microswitch.
a)
Push the socket with rubber retaining plate and screw the socket tightly onto the retaining plate using the
supplied nuts and screws:

Pay special attention to the right position of rubber retaining plate,

Put the cable set gently to avoid any folds and to secure it from possible wiping.
This cable set is configured for the VW Passat Variant. If you have a saloon, you must remove the adapter

Lay the end of the cable strand marked L to the left taillight.
a)
Pull the 6-point socket housing off the taillight and connect it to the matching counter piece of the cable set.
b)
Push the remaining socket housing of the cable assembly onto the vacant connecting-point of the taillight.

Lay the end of the cable strand marked R to the right taillight.
a)
Pull the 6-point socket housing off the taillight and connect it to the matching counter piece of the cable set.
b)
Push the remaining socket housing of the cable assembly onto the vacant connecting-point of the taillight.

On vehicles with Parktronic (PDC):
Lay the grey/green lead of the cable set to the right side rear the boot socket. There, a single-pole socket housing with
the grey/red wire (function: switching off the PDC) is located. Connect the two socket housings. On vehicles without
PDC fix the grey/green wire to the cable strand with a cable tie, it is no longer needed.
Assembly instruction for the customer.
Secure the cable set with supplied cable ties, re-install all trims and other parts which were
removed during installation.
Connect the earth lead to the battery and check all vehicle functions with connected trailer
or suitable testing device.
