Explanation of symbols

Several symbols are used to guide you through these instructions which draw your atten-
tion to important points:

Safety warnings

TERRADO, NYON and NYON PLUS glass roof systems are not conservatories. There is no
thermal separation of aluminium profiles and glass. Build-up of moisture due to fluctua-
tions in temperature leads to drop formation. Also when connected to all-round glazing the
room is not completely sealed.
Proximity to an escarpment in accordance with SIA 261 6.2.2.4 is not taken into account.
A load case such as snow drifts or sliding snow load were not taken into account. Should
the above be a hazard to the glass roof system, snow clearance is to be arranged by the
owner.
Loads which are hung on STOBAG glass roof systems such as hammocks, flowerpots or
other weights may lead to damage or cause the system to collapse and for this reason are
not allowed. STOBAG accepts no liability for such damage.
Depending on the optional lighting systems, lamps or transformers may emit great
amounts of heat. Pay attention to the safety distances from nearby objects.
Danger of injury from falling
Stepping on the glass panels of the roof system can cause the glass to break and thus
lead to a fall, resulting in serious injuries.
• Never step on or apply heavy loads to the glass panels of the roof system.
• Only apply loads to the aluminum rafters and ensure suitable fall protection during all
work.
• Always wear anti-slip footwear.
