Adjusting the electronic thermostat
(motor alignment)
The motor alignment must be performed during the initial
use. Power supply 230V/50 Hz (control the fuses) and
hot water heater is on, about 60° C. The orrection is
necessary if the set temperature differs from the
temperature measured at the take off point.
Hansgrohe has set the electronic thermostat under
following conditions:
- water pressure 3 bar,
- temperature difference 50°C.
Following steps are necessary to adjust the electronic
thermostat to local conditions:
1) All showers must be turned off. The hand shower is
turned on automatically.
2) Push the "Safety setting key" and the "Light key"
simulanteously and keep them depressed until the
display flashes.
3) Using the "+" and "-" key set display at 1.1C.

Within the limits "warm" and "cold" the selected tempe-
rature is electronically stored and will be available again
next time the shower is turned on. Outside these perime
ters the control will revert to 38°C (100°F). Adjustable
between 32°C bis 42°C (90°F - 107°F). The standard
setting is 42°C (107°F).
As for 1.5C. Adjustable between 8°C to 32°C
(46°F - 90°F). The standard setting is 32°C (90°F).
Here you can set the maximum water temperature.
Adjustable between 35°C to 55°C (95°F - 131°F). The
standard setting is 55°C (131°F).
With this setting you can choose if the water is to switch
off automatically after a certain time. 0 = No ; 1 = Yes.
Standard setting = 1
This setting is for the duration of water flow before it is
automatically turned off. The time can be set between
5 and 50 minutes. Standard setting = 15.
This setting is for the maximum duration of the lighting
before it si automaticsally turned off. The time can be set
between 30s and 50 min., standard setting is 15 min.
4) Push "Light key".
5) The semiautomatic motor alignment is now activated.
The alignment takes maximum 3 minutes. During this
time the respective temperature are displayed. On
completion 1.1C will again shown in the display.
Flashing displays showing 11.1C; 21.1C and 31.1C
are error messages which make it necessary to repeat
the procedure from point 3. This malfunction could
have several reasons which are described in the
trouble shooting.
6) Push "Safety setting key" to conclude the programme.
