c) Sound-to-Light Mode
• Push the button MODE (6) until the display (7) shows "S2L".
• In this operating mode, the effect light will switch through the static colours (see preceding section) in time to the
music.
The device is controlled via the installed microphone in time with the music in this mode.
d) Slave Mode
• In this operating mode, several equal effect lights are operated in a master-slave chain.
• The effect lights must be connected to each other as described in "Setup of a Master-Slave Chain".
• At the master unit, which controls the other effect lights, one of the operating modes "Static colours", "Sound-to-
Light mode" or "Automatic mode" must be set. The slave devices must be switched to "Slave mode" as follows:
• Push the button MODE (6) until the display (7) shows "SLA".
• The slave devices are now controlled by the master device.
If the device is to be operated as a single device (standalone), it must not be defined as a slave device.
e) DMX Operation
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identified by the
controller. This DMX starting address specifies the first DMX channel to which the effect light responds. The
remaining control channels come after this first DMX channel (DMX starting address).
The effect light requires 8 free DMX channels.
• Push the button MODE (6), until "d" flashes in the display (7), followed by a number. The number is the DMX start
address.
• Select the desired starting address 1-512 with the UP (5) and DOWN (4) buttons.
The following table provides information about the effects of the settings on the individual DMX channels.
