11. Troubleshooting

1. The radio does not connect to your Wi-Fi network
• Check whether another device (e.g. a computer or tablet) can connect to the internet over the Wi-Fi network.
• Check whether your router is running a DCHP server and that you have configured the static IP address including
all settings (subnet mask, standard gateway) correctly in the internet radio.
• Check whether your firewall is blocking the outgoing ports.
• Some access points are configured to deny access to new devices whose MAC address is not registered on the
access point's configuration page. Refer to the instruction manual of your router or access point for details. The
MAC address can be found in the following menu:
- "Information Center" – "System information" – "Wireless Network Info" – "MAC-Address"
• Check that you have entered the correct Wi-Fi password. The password is case-sensitive.
2. The radio is connected to your network, but it does not play certain radio stations
• The Internet radio station may not be broadcasting at the present time. This can also be related to different time
zones.
• Possibly, too many users are accessing the station server at the same time. It may be overloaded for this reason.
Some radio stations may be limiting the number of users that can access the server. You will not be able to access
the station when this number is reached.
• The radio station may have stopped broadcasting completely.
• The internet radio station URL may no longer be valid. The URLs are updated daily. Normally, the station should be
available again one or two days later.
• The internet connection between the radio station located in another country and your country may be slow
temporarily or permanently. Try playing the station on a computer or another device.
• There are stations that may not stream in certain geographic regions of the world.
3. A computer on the network does not appear in the list of available streaming sources while using the UPnP
function
• Check to see if you are connected to the Wi-Fi network.
• Make sure that your firewall does not permit the display of the names of files with file sharing or prevents access
to files.
4. Buffering of Internet radio station is erratic or takes a long time
• Check the speed of your internet connection (Last mile).
• Send a ping command in the command line of a Windows computer ping [IP address] or [domain name] to check
any data loss and the speed of the IP-reception over the entire stretch over the internet.
