Connection of additional devices
• The device has a socket each (3.5 mm jack) for a headphones (16) and for an external device (18), such as an
MP3 player, at the rear.
• To connect a headset to the product, simply connect the plug to the headphone connection (16) of the internet radio.
The speaker is automatically switched off and the music is played only on the connected headphones.
• To connect an external device to the product, connect its output with a corresponding cable with the
AUX-in input (18) of the internet radio.
• Then, turn on the external device as well and start playback. You must switch the internet radio to the "AUX" mode.
• Connect the line-out connector (17) of the internet radio to a compatible playback device such as an external
speaker. The speaker of the internet radio is not switched off. The music is played on the connected device.
b) Inserting/replacing the remote control batteries
You have to insert the batteries before you can use the remote control. Proceed as follows:
• First remove the battery cover of the remote control. For this, slide down the lid on the back.
• Insert two AAA-batteries (not included with the device) in the battery compartment. Please observe correct polarity
(plus/+ and minus/-). This is highlighted in the battery compartment.
• Now slide the cover up again into the remote control until it clicks into place. Inserting/replacing the batteries is
now complete.
Later, if you need to replace the batteries, proceed just as you do when you insert them, with the only
difference that you need to first remove the old batteries.
9. Initial set-up
• "Welcome" appears on the display when you switch the radio on for the first time, or when you switch it on after
disconnecting it completely from the network. Wait for a few seconds while the radio turns on. The progress bar
indicates the loading status.
• If you wish to change the following settings later, they can be found in the "Settings" menu option. The individual
sub-menus are "Language" and "Network".
• A language menu will be displayed when you turn the radio on for the first time.
• Select your desired language with the help of the
• Confirm with the OK button (N and 3).
• A prompt will appear next, asking whether you want the radio to check the Wi-Fi connection each time you turn
the radio on.
• Select "Yes" or "No" with the button (G and 6) or
• Confirm again with the OK button (N and 3).
• You can set up the Wi-Fi connection on the next screen. Here, you have the choice between "No", "Yes(WPS)" and
"Yes". Use the (G and 6) or
