Regularly check the technical safety of the DVD tuner, e.g. for damage of the cables or the housing.
If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be turned off and precautions are to
be taken to ensure that it is not used unintentionally. Disconnect the car power system!
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
• The device is visibly damaged
• The device does not function any more, or
• Following considerable mechanical stress
Before cleaning or servicing the DVD tuner, the following safety instruction must be observed:
Live components may be exposed if the covering is opened or components are removed.
The device must be disconnected from all power sources before carrying out any servicing or
repair work.
Capacitors inside the device may still carry voltage even though they have been disconnected
from all voltage sources.
Only qualified experts familiar with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations may
perform repairs.

Changing the fuse

If the fused has to be changed, make sure that only fuses of the designated type and nominal current are used (see
"Specifications").
Do not repair fuses or bridge the fuse holders.
• When the power supply has been disconnected (disconnect ISO plug!), carefully remove the fuse from the fuse
holder next to the ISO terminal.
• Replace it with a fuse of the same type.
• Now you can re-connect the DVD tuner to the electrical on-board system.
• Should the fuse be triggered again, take the device to a specialised workshop for repair.
