Carbon Monoxide Poisoning:
Early­signs­of­carbon­monoxide­poisoning­resemble­the­flu,­
with­headaches,­dizziness,­or­nausea.­­If­you­have­these­signs,­
the heater may not be working properly. Get fresh air at once!
Have­heater­serviced.­­Some­people­are­more­affected­by­carbon­
monoxide­than­others.­­These­include­pregnant­women,­persons­
with heart or lung disease or anemia, those under the influence
of alcohol, and those at high altitudes.
CAUTION:
•­ Never­connect­gas­valve­or­thermostat­to­line­voltage­or­a­
transformer.
•­ If­the­infra-red­color­of­the­grid­becomes­dull­when­the­build-
ing furnace is operating, consult gas supplier on correct gas
supply piping sizes.
•­ This­heater­is­for­indoor­installation­only!
NOTE
Gasket binder material used in this heater assembly will
temporarily­emit­an­odor­and/or­vapor.­This­condition­will­clear­up­
in­approximately­20­minutes­and­thereafter­will­not­reoccur.­Refer­
to­Chapter­9­for­ventilation.
