5. Assignment of a repeater number
Now you need to assign a repeated number to the DECT repeater (2....7).
Every number can only be assigned once. These numbers are independent of the
number of the handsets.
For this reason, no more than 6 repeaters can be assigned to a DECT basis station.
Answer the handset (as if you were going to make a phone call).
The DECT repeater LED should now stop to flash.
Press a number between 2 and 7 at the handset.
When the DECT repeater has accepted the selected number, the LED at the DECT
repeater flashes the according number of times.
Terminate registration by pressing the button "*" (asterisk) at the handset and then
interrupt the connection (hang up).
The DECT repeater starts again. The LED goes out for about 2 seconds, flashes once
briefly and is lit permanently after a few seconds.
Thus, registration of the DECT repeated is completed and the settings have been stored.
The DECT repeater can now be separated from the power supply and set up in the desired site.
The settings are not lost in this!
If you want to use several DECT repeaters, observe that a minimum distance of 10
meters must be complied with between two repeaters (at overlapping reception
areas).
Between the DECT basis station and the DECT repeater/s, a distance of at least 10
meters should be observed because there may otherwise be interfering noise in the
handover zone between the DECT repeater and DECT basis station while talking
on the phone (the handset switches back and forth between the DECT repeater/s
and the DECT basis station).
