Enjoying High-Quality Video
Connect the television.
Use a commercially available component video cable.
Start playing the DVD. See page 10, "Viewing a DVD".
Press PROGRESSIVE on CinemaStation.
To cancel Progressive Scan
Press PROGRESSIVE to turn off the PROGRESSIVE indicator.
Advice
• If you play video with a 4:3 aspect ratio on a 16:9 wide television screen, Progressive Scan may fill the screen top to bottom.
In this case, use the On Screen Menu to change to the screen display that matches your television. See pages 94 and 95, "On
Screen Menu Guide".
If you cannot adjust the size, turn off Progressive Scan. (Changes to interlace output.)
• When Progressive Scan is on, a video signal will only output from the COMPONENT VIDEO. You can use the
COMPONENT VIDEO jack and Progressive Scan only for DVD playback, so it is not possible to enjoy progressive playback
from other sources.
Note
CONSUMERS SHOULD NOTE THAT NOT ALL HIGH DEFINITION TELEVISION SETS ARE FULLY COMPATIBLE
