Installation
Use the Festo cable sockets ASI-SD-FK, part no. 18785 for
connecting the type 10 valve terminals. You thereby comply with
protection class IP65. Proceed as follows.
1. Connect the cable socket in accordance with the separate
brief description.
2. Make sure that the AS-i cable is not stretched.
3. Place the cable socket into position and screw it tight.
AS-i cable
Cable cap type: ASI-KK-FK
Please note the following with branch lines.

The maximum total length of the AS-i bus must not exceed
100 m.
–
The length of the operating voltage cable depends on the
current consumption of the terminal and on fluctuations in the
operating voltage.

An open-ended cable should be fitted with a Festo cable cap
ASI-KK-FK (part no. 18787) or with a cable bushing ASI-KT-
FK (part no. 165 593). You therefore avoid leakage currents
and comply with protection class IP65.
