4. Use of fall arrest eyelets

PLEASE NOTE:
When using the fall arrest eyelet in the chest regi-
on, ALWAYS CONNECT BOTH OF THE TEXTILE
LOOPS to the fall arrest system.
When using the full arrest eyelet on the back, it is
not necessary to use a carabiner to connect
the two textile loops of the full arrest eyelet on
the chest.
The carabiner used for this purpose must conform
to EN 362 and, when loaded, must automatically
orient itself along the direction of loading (carabiner
with eye or "cross bar") - Stock photo: Pic. 12
When using a carabiner without a "cross bar" (Pic.
13), it must also resist transverse loads of at least
13 kN, in addition to meeting the requirements of
EN 362 (Pic. 14).
