steeping time:

Cleaning & Maintenance
• Always unplug the cord of Power Base before cleaning.
• Make sure the kettle is cool to the touch before cleaning.
• Clean the exterior surface with a clean, slightly damp, soft cloth.
• Never use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, chemical cleaners or scouring
agents to clean the kettle.
• Rinse out kettle and wipe dry with a soft, lint-free cloth.
Attention:
• Over time the stainless steel interior of the kettle may change color slightly.
This is caused by the intense heat of the heating element, especially if the
kettle was turned on repeatedly without water. This will not diminish the
performance of the kettle in any way.
• If your water has a high calcium content, calcium deposits might dull the
inside. Follow the instructions below for decalcification.
• Any servicing other than cleaning and user maintenance should be performed
by an authorized service agent.
Decalcification
Hard water can leave calcium spots inside the kettle that can slow down boiling
time. Use a commercial descaling agent, like Capresso Cleaning Solution and
follow the instructions that come with the agent. If the kettle takes longer to boil
or heat than usual, please follow descaling instructions below.
NOTE: Make sure kettle is cool to the touch before descaling.
Use of Capresso Cleaning Solution
Dissolve 1 oz (28 g) of Capresso Cleaning Solution with 32 oz (1 L) of water and
pour mixture into kettle. Allow mixture to sit inside the kettle for 20-30 minutes.
Pour water and Cleaning Solution out and rinse the kettle 2-3 times with fresh,
clean water. DO NOT heat the kettle while descaling with Capresso Cleaning
Solution.

• Avant d'ouvrir le couvercle, assurez-vous que l'eau ne bout pas.
• Ne mettez jamais rien d'autre que de l'eau dans la bouilloire.
• N'ajoutez pas de soupe instantanée ni tout autre produit soluble dans la bouilloire.
• N'utilisez pas la bouilloire pour dégeler quelque produit que ce soit.
• N'utilisez pas la bouilloire pour préparer des sauces ni pour faire fondre du
fromage, du beurre ou tout autre produit.
• Ne submergez jamais la bouilloire dans quelque liquide que ce soit. Ne placez
jamais la bouilloire ni sa base dans le lave-vaisselle.
• Ne laissez pas de l'eau reposer dans la bouilloire. Jetez l'eau non utilisée.
• Ne replacez pas la bouilloire vide sur la base électrique lorsque la fonction
Réchaud est en marche et que la base électrique reste active après le cycle
de chauffage.
• Assurez-vous toujours que le couvercle est fermé solidement sur la carafe
avant de commencer à verser; vous éviterez ainsi que la vapeur touche à
votre main pendant le versage.
• Manipulez la bouilloire prudemment, car le boîtier, le bec et le couvercle en
métal sont chauds pendant et après le chauffage! N'insérez jamais vos doigts
ni tout autre objet dans le bec pendant ou juste après le fonctionnement.
