6. Initiation/operating control
6.1 Generalities
Fill and de-aerate the system properly.
Only put the pump into operation when the system is full.
Switch on the distribution voltage.
6.2 Direction of rotation
Simple control of the direction of rotation with push button:
Compare the motor shaft's direction of rotation
with the direction of rotation indicated on the type plate.
6.3 De-aeration
The pump, and especially the engine compartment,
is automatically de-aerated after a brief operational period.
If a very quick de-aeration is desired, proceed as follows:
– Switch off the pump
– Lower the system pressure to 0.2 bar
– Loosen the screw plug (roughly one turn counter-clockwise)
until water comes out.
There is a danger of scalding
Depending on the temperature and the system pressure,
the hot pumped fluid may be emitted as a liquid or a gas.
– Never remove the screw plug completely
The pump may suck air in.
A great volume of fluid may be lost.
– Switch the pump on and off some 5 to 8 times
until only water comes out of the screw plug.
– Tighten the screw plug.
– Increase the system pressure
– Switch the pump on.
6.4 Output regulation
Fit correct cover on electronics
Warning
(with several pumps).
Refer to type designation in cover.
The desired flow rate is set using the turning knob
on the pump's electronics.
(infinite from e.g. 1 to max).
The pump can be set to the system's specific needs using
infinite adjustments.

Setting value:
– Specifications of heating planner
– Start with the first level.
If the heating elements removed do not become hot,
raise the settings to a higher level. Wait for a reaction.
