Fitting instructions
1)
Disassemble the bumper and permanently remove the buffer beam, re-insert the upper bolts of the buffer
beam in the provided screw-thread holes to prevent that water can filter into the trunk. Make an incision
in the plastic lower edge which is at the bottom of the coach work plate according to picture 1.
2)
At the outside of the chassis beams are drillings provided which are sealed with tape which has to be
removed. Insert the tow bar with the supporting arms in the released holes at the back of the chassis
beams till points (A) match the existing holes at the outside of the chassis beams. Plmace the tow bas as
close as possible in the chassis beams, insert the bolts and tighten firmly (see tension).
3)
Make an incision in the bottom of the bumper according to drawing 1. Re-assemble the bumper on the
vehicle.
4)
Assemble the ball T43 or the detachable system T35 together with the socket holder and the security
shackle, insert the bolts and tighten firmly (see tension).
Disassemblage of the bumper
- 7 screws at the bottom of the bumper
- 2x4 screws at the wheel cases
- 2x3 screws under the rear light units
Disassemblage of the rear-lights
- 2x2 screws at the entrance of the trunk
- 2x1 special nut behind the inner coating of the trunk
Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
