ELECTING A CYCLE AND TIME
This section describes the available wash cycles
and will help you make the best cycle selections
for your wash loads. Each cycle is designed for
different types of fabric and soil levels.
Normal cycle
The Normal cycle feature high agitation and longer
spin speeds to shorten drying time. Use this cycle
for cleaning cotton and linen fabrics. Select 8, 12, or
14 minutes of wash time, depending on whether
your load is lightly, moderately, or heavily soiled.
Select the 18-minute Ex-Heavy feature to wash
heavily soiled loads that need maximum soil
removal. Use two times the amount of recom-
mended detergent for this cycle
Permanent Press cycle
The Permanent Press cycle features a cool-down
rinse and low spin speeds to reduce wrinkling. Use
this cycle for cleaning permanent press and some
synthetic fabrics. Select 10 or 8 minutes of wash
time, depending on whether your wash load is mod-
erately or lightly soiled.
NOTE: The 8-minute Permanent Press wash cycle
is indicated on your control panel with a dot only,
next to the 10-minute cycle.

stains that need pretreatment.

recommended by the manufacturer.
The Soak cycle automatically advances into the
Pre-Wash cycle.

agitation to help remove heavy soils and stains that
