Calculating the capacity
It is possible to calculate how many items stacking equipment can
hold.
The intermediate stack height h
following formula. Measure any missing values.
h
= intermediate stack height
z
h
= height between n items
n
h
= height of 1 item
1
h
= 120 mm
n
h
= 20 mm
1
The capacity of the stacking equipment can be calculated using the fol-
lowing formula
h
= intermediate stack height
z
h
= lifting height of the plat-
st
form for baskets or trays
h
= height of 1 item
1
n = number of items on the
platform for baskets or trays
(not stacked)
h
= 458 mm
st
h
= 20 mm
1
n = 3
Check the tension spring setting on the OKO
1.
Place 2 baskets with a normal load on the platform for baskets.
The platform for baskets will sink.
2.
Measure the distance between the top edge of the baskets and
the top edge of the spring case.
< 30 mm
Distance too small:
Unhook the tension
springs
Check the tension spring setting on the OTA
1.
Place 20 trays on the platform for trays.
The platform for trays will sink.
of the items can be calculated using the
z
h
=(( h
– h
)/ (n – 1))

h
= ((120 – 20) / (11 – 1)) = 10

Capacity = [((h
– h
) / h
st

Capacity = [((458 – 20) / 10) + 1] × 3
Capacity = 132 items
(44.8 was rounded down to 44)
30 to 50 mm
> 50 mm
