Introduction
Please read these operating instructions thoroughly and carefully. They are
part of this product and contain important instructions relating to its
operation and handling. Please always observe all safety instructions. Before
initial operation, please check that all parts are fitted correctly. If you have
any questions or are unsure about handling of the device, please consult a
specialist. Please keep these instructions in a safe place and pass them on to
anyone else intending to use the device.

Proper use

This door intercom comprises an indoor and an outdoor unit. The indoor unit
generates a ring signal and is used to speak into, listen and to activate an
optionally connected standard 12 V DC door release (not included).
Installation of the indoor unit is only permitted indoors. The power must be
supplied from the 230 V ~ 0 Hz mains supply. Connection of a standard 12
V DC door release (not included is possible with a twin-core cable with coded
cores (not included). The outdoor unit is suitable for ringing the door bell,
speaking, listening and for flushmounted installation outside (entrance
area). The connection between the indoor and outdoor units can be made
with the twin-core cable (with coded cores, length max. 200 m) (not
included). Model DP 601 is for a single family house and includes one
outdoor and one indoor unit. Model DP 602 is for a two family house: the
outdoor unit has two bell buttons each of which enables connection to one of
the two included indoor units. The installation locations must be protected or
equipped with a suitable cover (e.g. a permanently installed canopy). The
door intercom is intended for private use only. Any other use or modification
of the device constitutes improper use and poses a serious risk of accident.
The manufacturer is not liable for damage caused by improper use or
incorrect operation of the device.
This appliance is not intended to be used by people (including children) with
restricted physical, sensory or mental capacities, or a lack of experience
and/or knowledge, unless they are supervised by, or receive instructions how
to use the appliance from, a person responsible for their safety. Children
must be supervised in order to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
