Phone Settings

When you open Menu  Settings (key 5)  Phone settings (key 1), you
can set the following functions:
• Time and Date: Here you can set the current time and the current date
(see the "Setting the Time/Date" chapter).
• Schedule power on/off: If you want the phone to automatically switch
on and/or off at a certain time, call up this function, choose whether the
phone should be switched on or off and at what time. Activate the func-
tion.
• Language: Here you can change the language settings (see the "Basic
Functions" chapter, "Setting the Language" section).
• Pref. input method: Here you can stipulate the input method (e. g. ABC
for English capital letters) which is activated as standard when writing
texts (see the "Basic Functions" chapter, "Entering Texts" section).
• Display:
– Here you can choose a Wallpaper for the phone display,
– set up a Screen saver (Settings  Status Off / On: (de-)/activate
screen saver, Waiting: after the chosen time has elapsed it is automati-
cally switched on; Select: select a screen saver design) and
– choose whether the current time should appear on the start screen
( Show date and time  On / Off).
• Flight mode: Here you can switch between Normal mode and Flight
mode. In flight mode, the mobile phone has no connectivity to a mobile
network.
• Misc. settings: Choose LCD backlight to change its Brightness with the
arrow keys and set after how many seconds the light should switch off
automatically (Time (sec)) to switch to power-save mode.

Security Settings

When you open Menu  Settings (key 5)  Security settings (key 3), you
can set the following functions:
• SIM security: Here you can switch the PIN lock on and off. When the
PIN lock is switched on, the PIN must be entered every time you switch
on the phone (see the "What You Should Know About the SIM Card"
chapter). Furthermore, you can choose Change PIN and Change PIN2.
Follow the instructions shown on the display.
