2. Place the tabs at the rear edge of the heat shield into
the slots. Secure the heat shield using 2 screws on
each side. Screw from within the ZC box.
3. Slide the convection and extension baffl es supplied,
channels downward, onto the fi rebox baffl e.

4. Finish the installation of fuel bed, remote control,
glass, etc. as per instructions packed with the RF24JB
heater.

Install Trims
Note: Outer trims may require extending or
custom trims may be required to cover openings.
• The trim packs may contain redundant parts not
required for these applications as trims are common
to other model heaters. Discard unused parts.
• Barrier screens are supplied with most inner front
trims as well as with the RF24 appliance. Only one
barrier screen is required. Use the barrier screen
supplied with the chosen inner front trim.
1. Fasten the mounting brackets supplied with the
zero clearance kit to the back of the outer trim using
screws provided.
Note: It may be necessary to extend the outer trim to
cover the combustible wall opening. Custom non-
combustible sheet metal pieces may be added to
the extruded aluminum trims and fastened using the
screw channel on the back of the trim.
2. Fasten the outer trim with the mounting brackets
attached to the side fl anges of the ZC box using 2
screws each side.
