37. DELETE MESSAGES

deleted until they are reviewed by

38. DATE / TIME SETUP
If you subscribe to phone
company CID service, Date /
Time setup will be automatic.
This provides Date / Time stamp
attached to each message.
Year information is normally not
included in CID data. User must
set "year" entry manually.

Note: Time setup resets
every time the power supply is
unplugged or if there is a power
outage. It is highly recommended
that four AAA rechargeable
NiMH batteries (user provided)
be installed in the base against
power outage.
Time set information is
automatically synchornized
between base and handset.
There is no need to set both.
39. NUMBER-OF-RING SETUP
This setting allows you to input
the desired number of rings
before the machine answers an
incoming call. There are 2 to
6 ring settings and a Toll saver
("SA") mode to select from. The
procedures are as follows:
1. Press and hold
SLOW
key for
3 seconds to set "Number–of-
Ring" mode. The machine
announces i.e. "Four". (This
means, it will receive the call
after four rings.) You will see
"r4" on the digital display.

rings or toll saver mode.

Base ringer loudness setting:
While the phone is ringing on
an incoming call, press

40. TOLL SAVER
When toll saver mode is selected,
the machine will announce "Toll
Saver", and then it will announce
"Answer Delay - Toll Saver".
If "TOLL SAVER" is selected:
1. If the unit has new messages,
calls will be answered after 3
rings.
2. If the unit has no new
message, calls will be
answered after 7 rings.
(This feature allows a user
to remotely check for new
messages without incurring any
toll charge. The user can call in
and listen for the number of rings
before the machine answers. If
the machine does not answer at
3 or 4 rings, then there is no new
message The user should hand
up immediately to avoid any toll
charge.)
