37. DELETE MESSAGES

1. During message playback,
press DELETE key once to
delete messages. The
machine will then play the
next message.
2. In standby mode, press and
hold DELETE key for 3 seconds
to delete all saved messages,
the machine will announce "All
messages deleted".
(Note: New messages can not be
deleted until they are reviewed by
the user).
38. DATE / TIME SETUP
If you subscribe to phone
company CID service, Date /
Time setup will be automatic.
This provides Date / Time stamp
attached to each message.
Year information is normally not
included in CID data. User must
set "year" entry manually.
1. Press and hold key

for 3 seconds to enter date/
time setup:

"Set year". The LED display
indicated the year, for
example "09". Press Vol +
or Vol key to increase or
decrease the year.
3. Press key once, then
the machine announces "Set
month". The LED display
indicates the month, for
example "12". Press Vol +
or Vol key to increase or
decrease the month.
4. Press key and then
the machine announces
"Set day". The LED display
indicates the day so press
Vol + or Vol key again to
increase or decrease the day
setting.
5. Press key and then
the machine announces
"Set hour". The display now
indicates the hour. Press
Vol + or Vol key to scroll
the correct hour.
(Note: The hour setting is in
24hour format. Example: If it
is 5 in the afternoon, place the
hour to 17. The machine will be
announcing it as 5 PM.)
6. Press key and then the
machine finally announces
"Set minute". Press Vol +
or Vol key to set the
correct minute then press the
key to save.
TIME / MUTE
7. After the minute confirmation,
the machine will instantly
announce the new day and
time. i.e. "November 9,
Thursday, 5 PM"
8. In standby mode, press
key once to
TIME / MUTE
announce current day and
time information.
Note: Time setup resets
every time the power supply is
unplugged or if there is a power
outage. It is highly recommended
that four AAA rechargeable
NiMH batteries (user provided)
be installed in the base against
power outage.
Time set information is
automatically synchornized
between base and handset.
There is no need to set both.

39. NUMBER-OF-RING SETUP

This setting allows you to input
the desired number of rings
before the machine answers an
incoming call. There are 2 to
6 ring settings and a Toll saver
("SA") mode to select from. The
procedures are as follows:
1. Press and hold SLOW key for
3 seconds to set "Number–of-
Ring" mode. The machine
announces i.e. "Four". (This
means, it will receive the call
after four rings.) You will see
"r4" on the digital display.
2. Press Vol + or Vol key to
English
select the desired number for
rings or toll saver mode.
3. Press SLOW key again to
confirm and save.
Base ringer loudness setting:
While the phone is ringing on
an incoming call, press Vol +
or Vol keys to adjust ringer
loudness (Off, 1, 2, 3, 4).

40. TOLL SAVER

When toll saver mode is selected,
the machine will announce "Toll
Saver", and then it will announce
"Answer Delay - Toll Saver".
If "TOLL SAVER" is selected:
1. If the unit has new messages,
calls will be answered after 3
rings.
2. If the unit has no new
message, calls will be
answered after 7 rings.
(This feature allows a user
to remotely check for new
messages without incurring any
toll charge. The user can call in
and listen for the number of rings
before the machine answers. If
the machine does not answer at
3 or 4 rings, then there is no new
message The user should hand
up immediately to avoid any toll
charge.)
