DESCRIPTION OF PARTS

1. Boiler Cap
2. Control Knob
3. Steam Tube
4. Frothing Nozzle
5. Filter Holder with protective thumb guard
6. Filter Basket
7. Glass Carafe with Lid
8. Removable Drip Tray
9. Indicator Light

Before First Use

Wash the Carafe and Lid, Filter Holder, Filter Basket, Frothing Nozzle and the
Removable Drip Tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe
the machine with a damp cloth.
Run water only (without coffee) through your Toastess Espresso Cappuccino
Maker. Follow the instructions below in the "Making Espresso Coffee"
section, numbers 1 through 17.
Making Espresso Coffee
1. Make sure the Control Knob is in the Off position. Plug into a 120 volt
AC outlet.
2. Slowly slide the Control Knob to the Steam symbol. If no steam comes
out of the Steam Nozzle skip to 3 below. IMPORTANT: If steam comes
out of the Steam Nozzle the boiler is still under pressure. Slide the
Control Knob to the 'Off' position and place the Steam Nozzle into a mug
or small pitcher filled with cold water. Then slide the Control Knob to the
Steam symbol. Leave the Control Knob open until all the steam has exited
from the Nozzle. When finished slide the Control Knob to 'Off'
3. Unscrew the Boiler Cap.
4. Remove the Filter Holder by sliding the Filter Holder handle to the left.
