8. Installation/setup
Ensure proper ventilation when setting up/installing the device.
Never place the device on any soft surfaces such as a carpet or a bed, etc.
Air circulation also must not be impaired by any objects like magazines, tablecloths, curtains,
etc. This prevents heat dissipation from the product and may lead to overheating (danger of
fire).
Do not drill any holes or turn any screws into the casing for attachment of the device. This may
damage the device and impair its safety.
When setting up the device, make sure that it has a stable footing and place it on a stable un-
derground.
Persons may be injured if the DMX controller drops.
When setting up the device, make sure that the connection cables are neither pinched nor
damaged by sharp edges.
Always place cables so that no one can trip over them or be caught in them. There is a danger
of injury.
When selecting a place of set-up, make sure it is not exposed to direct solar radiation, vibra-
tions, heat, cold and moisture.
Make sure there are no devices with strong electric or magnetic fields such as transformers,
motors, cordless telephones or radio-controlled devices in the direct vicinity, because they can
cause interferences in the device.
Never place the device on any valuable or sensitive furniture surfaces without sufficient protec-
tion.
• Place the device on a level surface.
• If necessary, the device can be attached, e.g. to a worktop or a rack by the drill holes in the front panel.
