3 INTENDED USE

EZ-Breeze™ is designed to fit any RV standard 14 x 14" roof opening. This vent base is a High Profile/Clamp
Style Hybrid that allows you to conventionally mount to the roof using 28 screws around the mounting flange.
Separately (or in addition to), you may also use the Clamp feature* using four screws in the trim garnish that
squeeze the roof between the trim garnish and mounting flange of the fan base when tightened. A gasket or
sealer is required between the mounting flange bottom and top of the roof. Additional compatible water proof
sealant is recommended over the screw heads and mounting flange edge at the roof line. For rubber roofs,
use a EPDM compatible roof sealant, eg. Dicor 551 LSW or 502 LSW.
* The Clamp feature is useful and recommended for foam-filled roofs under 4" in thickness that lack
sufficient substrates for a conventional screw mounting installation. When using the Clamp feature without
the external screws, use sealant only and do not use the gasket. Use a double bead of compatible sealant
between the mounting flange and the roof. Additional sealant is required over the screw holes and around
the perimeter of the mounting flange where it meets the roof.

4 PREPARE FOR INSTALLATION

4 .1 Select a Location

➤ Select a fan location nearest to a 12 Volt power supply. When prewired by the manufacturer,
check for proper voltage.
➤ If needed, pre-wire 12 Volt power supply to the installation location.
4 .2 Remove the Old Fan or Vent
➤ Remove the old fan or vent.
➤ Scrape off any old sealant from the roof surface. A clean surface is necessary to provide the best seal.
