1. Area of applicability
These safety instructions apply to the pressure transmitter VEGABAR of type series
BR17.****** acc. to the EC type approval certificate no. BVS 04 ATEX E 257 X (certification number
on the type label).
2. General
The pressure transmitters VEGABAR of type series BR17.**** are used for the measurement of
pressures in hazardous areas.
If the pressure transmitters VEGABAR BR17.**** are installed and operated in hazardous areas, the
general Ex-mounting instructions and these safety instructions have to be observed.
The installation of Ex-systems must always be carried out by trained personnel.
