Installation
The PIR sensor 44-063 can operate on alkaline
batteries or with the adapter 23-513.
Batteries
Observe the following when putting in batteries:
1. Remove the battery cover with a fl at screwdriver.
2. Put in 4 new AA 1.5 V alkaline batteries ensuring
correct polarity. Fig. 9
3. Replace the battery cover. The cover is the right
The working life of the batteries is determined by the
frequency of activation and the ambient temperature.
Under normal conditions the batteries can last for 6
months with 10 activations per day at 20°C. When
the batteries are empty, the LED will become dim and
the range of the transmitter will become shorter. New
batteries are put in as described above.

The sensor can be connected to the adapter instead
of using batteries. Use an adapter of type 23-513 in
which the adapter DC plug connects to the sensor's
socket.
2. Insert the adapter DC plug into the sensor
socket. Fig. 10
3. Cut a hole in the cover of the adapter cable.
4. Refi t the battery cover and ensure that the
cable fi ts through the opening. Fig. 12

METRE potentiometers
METRE
The metre potentiometer adjusts the distance from
1 to 8 metres.
Set METRE to the " - " position and the sensor's
range is approx. 1 metre.
