Guided Tour - UR6D Receiver Front Panel
1f: Title - Shows the name ("Title") given to the receiver. See the "UR6D System Settings" section on
page 9 in this manual for more information.
1g: Lock indicator - Lit when the UR6D front panel buttons are locked and therefore disabled. To lock
and unlock the front panel buttons, hold down the REMOTE/LOCK button (see #7 below) for three
seconds.
1h: Title indicator - Lit when the UR6D is in Title Input mode. See the "UR6D System Settings" section
on page 9 in this manual for more information.
1i: Remote indicator - Lit when remote control is enabled for computer control of the UR6D via
our optional Samson Wireless System Manager™. To enable/disable remote control, press the
REMOTE/LOCK button (see #7 below).
1j: Mute indicator - Lights to indicate that the UR6D is muted (no sound output), either because the
transmitter has been turned off or because of poor signal reception (due to weak signal, excess
modulation noise, or because signal is being received from another manufacturer's equipment. Note that
it takes about half a second before the Mute indicator turns on or off after a transmitter is muted or
unmuted. As described in #1a on the previous page, receiver muting is also indicated by the lighting of
every other segment across the entire length of the AF Level meter.
2: Contrast control - Rotate this knob to adjust the contrast of the UR6D display panel.
3: "RX1" / "RX2" buttons - Press the corresponding button to change the settings of either Receiver 1
(RX1) or Receiver 2 (RX2).
4: Display button - Each press of this button changes the bottom line of the display panel in the
following sequence: Title 1 -> Title 2 -> Frequency. See the "UR6D System Settings" section on page 9
in this manual for more information.
5: Title button - Used to input names (titles) for Receiver 1 and Receiver 2. See the "UR6D System
Settings" section on page 9 in this manual for more information.
6: Status button - Press this button to show the current status of the UR6D rear panel switches in the
display panel. Each press of the button changes the contents of the display panel in the following
sequence: Antenna Attenuator -> Output Level -> Output Mixing -> Channel. See the "UR6D System
Settings" section on page 9 in this manual for more information.
7: Remote/Lock button - Press this to toggle remote (computer) control of the UR6D on and off. Hold
down this button for three seconds or longer to lock (disable) all UR6D front panel controls (as described
in #1g above, the "Lock" indicator will light). To unlock all front panel controls, hold the button down for
three seconds again.
8: Up/Down Value buttons - Used when adding channels and setting titles. See the "UR6D System
Settings" section on page 9 in this manual for more information.
9: AF (Audio Frequency) Level controls - These knobs set the level of the audio signal being output
through both the balanced and unbalanced output jacks on the rear panel for each of the two receivers.
Reference level is obtained when the knob is turned fully clockwise (to its "10" setting). When the Output
Mixing switch on the rear panel (see #5 on the next page) is on, these controls are used to mix the
relative levels of the two receivers.
10: Power switch - Use this to turn the main power on and off. When the receiver is on, the display
section (see #1 on the preceding page) is lit.
