BEFORE INSTALLATION
After unpacking, check that all parts are included.
Complete list of parts can be found in construction drawings.
One of the main necessary precautions when installing a room heater is to leave suffi cient space
between the heater (top, sides, back, front, and under chimney connector) and any other mate-
rial that can catch fi re.
FLOOR PROTECTOR
In the US, fl oor protection must be constructed of a on non-combustible material and installed to
extend beneath the heater and 16" to the front and 8" to the sides of the fuel loading and ash
removal openings. In Canada, floor protection must be constructed of a on non-combustible material
and installed to extend beneath the heater and 450mm (18") to any side with a door and 200mm
(8") beyond the appliance on the other sides.

In a rear vent installation the fl oor protection must also extend under the chimney connector a minimum of 2"
(50mm) beyond either side of the pipe.
