1. Remove the nameplate and carefully loosen the connector for the nameplate lighting (fig. 1).
4. You can fill out the provided blank namecard
and add it to the nameplate. Carefully open the
nameplate with a small screwdriver or with the key
provided (fig. 2).
5. Reinsert the nameplate into the external
unit.
3.2. Connecting an extra door opener relay
You can optionally connect a door opener relay to the external unit between terminals R and P.
This relay is necessary:
• if several external units are used.
• if the external unit is to be provided with a local door opener contact.
3.3. Six-wire/five-wire cabling
In systems of a limited size, you can choose five-wire cabling. In this case, you do not need to connect a
cable to the M-terminal. You should set up all the jumpers on the five-wire cabling configuration.

2. Mount the external unit on the wall.
The recommended installation height for the ca-
mera is 160 to 170 cm from the ground. Run the
cable from the bottom up in the device in order to
avoid water entering the device via the cable.
3. Connect the wiring as shown in the wiring
diagram on 28.
Note: In a single system, use the same colour code
for the same terminals (a, b, P, M, V1, V2) for all
products of the Niko Access Control range.
