Operation
Application and Function
The light controller DIM MULTI 3 has been developed for the regulation and control of the brightness
at workplaces. Sensors register the ambient brightness and the presence of persons.
The lighting conditions at the workplace are maintained at a variable set value by means of the
daylight-dependent supply of artificial light. If the daylight is sufficient as source of light or if there
are no persons present at the workplace, the light controller switches the lamp off. The regulation
of the brightness and motion detection can be switched on and off over various operating modes.
The optimization of the lighting conditions at the workplace increases the working comfort.
Energy savings of up to 70% are possible compared to conventional workplace lighting systems.
Safety Notes
The following notes
contain information for
your safety:
•
Please read through these operating instructions carefully before
installation and before using the DIM MULTI 3 for the first time.
Only this way is safe and correct usage ensured. Safeguard the
operating instructions for later reference. Make them available to
other persons who work with the DIM MULTI 3.
•
No other controllers may be connected to the control cable.
•
The installation of the DIM MULTI 3 may only be carried out by a
competent specialist person, who is trained and authorized for
this purpose. This person must be acquainted with the operating
instructions. Work on the device may only be performed in the
de-energized state.
•
The DIM MULTI 3 control unit is developed especially for lamp
installation, an independent assembly is only permitted with the
Assembly Kit LMS CI BOX.
•
The valid safety regulations and the regulations for the prevention
of accidents are to be observed.
•
The external button must be designed for mains voltages.
•
The DIM MULTI 3 controller may only be supplied via an AC ope-
rating voltage. This is to be observed in particular in networks with
UPS systems.
•
The wiring of the control line or the button input with external
voltage, in particular with the mains voltage of 230 V, leads to the
destruction of the device!
