Note
The capacity of the internal battery is not sufficient to start the device.
Connect the external power pack or the diagnostic cable to the vehicle
(ignition "on"), in order to make the device ready to operate and to charge
the battery.
The device must be put into a defined condition, for this press keys  and #
for approx. 3 seconds.
!
Only switch the device off in this way, if it no longer reacts to any keys
being pressed. This switching off procedure can in some cases lead to a
loss of data on the hard disk, if it is carried out during regular operation.
Data recorded during this diagnostic application may need to be re-
entered.
Follow the instructions on the LCD display.
You must carry out an adjustment to the touchscreen. In the start bar under
"Programs » System Control" call up the menu "RBsystem". Select the
"Touchscreen Adjustment" program. After clicking on the "Run" field, you
can carry out the adjustment. Do not adjust the other parameters in this
program.

To avoid errors caused by parallax, you must position yourself with your
eyes perpendicular to the calibration points. Click on the calibration
points as accurately as possible.
The touchscreen adjustment menu offers a total of 20 calibration points,
which you must click on consecutively. This enables a very precise
adjustment to be made.
At the end of the adjustment, you can check the calibration. Click with the
stylus on various positions on the LCD display and compare them with the
mouse pointer.
It may be that the touchscreen is completely out of calibration. Connect a
USB mouse to the KTS 650 and carry out the touchscreen adjustment. The
adjustment is described in the Section above.
