REFRIGERATOR OPERATION
The refrigerator does not make any noise while operating. Approximately 4 hours are
required for the refrigerator to reach the set temperature.
TEMPERATURE CONTROL
Each refrigerator is fitted with a thermostat which automatically maintains set temperatures.
1.
Version with adjustable thermostat (Mod: CS30, CS40, HT30, HT40)
Use the temperature control knob to select the required temperature.
When the knob is set to '0' or 'STOP' the refrigerator will not operate.
When the knob is set to '1', the refrigerator will begin to operate. Increasingly cooler
temperatures are obtained by turning the knob from '1' to "Maximum". (fig. 5,6)
2.
Version with electronic thermostat "RE" / "LPC" / "TC"
Use the temperature control knob to select the required temperature.
When the knob is fully turned anticlockwise to OFF, the refrigerator is switched off.
When the knob is turned clockwise, there are three cooling settings: MIN, MED and
MAX. (fig. 3,4)
3.
Version with cyclical thermostat (Mod. C250)
This refrigerator is fitted with a thermostat which automatically maintains set
temperatures. Temperatures are preset and the range cannot be altered. (fig.1)
CAUTION:
The dial inside the refrigerator (where present) does not disconnect it from
the power supply.
DEFROSTING THE APPLIANCE
A thin layer of frost will form during refrigerator operation.
1.
Version with adjustable thermostat (fig.6)
If the thermostat is operating between the minimum and medium settings, the layer of
frost will tend to melt naturally and the resulting water will be collected in the
container located in the back section of the refrigerator.
In the event of:
operation with the thermostat set to max.
frequent door opening
refrigerator location in particularly damp surroundings
the layer of frost that forms will tend to become thicker.
It is advisable to defrost the refrigerator every time that the frost layer exceeds 3 mm.
This operation is necessary to ensure good refrigerator performance as well as to
prevent higher levels of electricity consumption.
To defrost the refrigerator completely, turn the thermostat knob to stop. Leave the
door open to speed up the defrosting process.
Never used sharp or pointed metal utensils to remove the layer of frost.
When the refrigerator is completely defrosted, switch it on by turning the thermostat
knob to the required setting.
After the refrigerator has been switched on again, approximately 4 hours will be
required for it to reach the set temperature.
