Setting-up the product
When selecting the installation site, consider the room conditions such as the position of the
nearest socket, etc. Also avoid direct sunlight, vibrations, dust, heat, cold and dampness. Keep
the product away from strong transformers and motors.
Operate the product only on a stable, even surface. There must be enough
space around the product for air circulation to permit dissipation of the gen-
erated heat. Therefore, place the product only on a smooth surface, not on
carpets etc.
Failure to heed this instruction could result in product damage.
Due to the broad range of paints and polishes used for furniture, the base of
the product might leave visible residues on furniture on which it is placed due
to a chemical reaction. Therefore, the product should not be placed on valuable
furniture surfaces without suitable protection.
Commissioning
a) Connecting cinch inputs and outputs
Make sure that the mains plug is removed before connecting the product
and that the volume control (3) is set to minimum (left stop). Before con-
necting the product, switch off all other devices that are to be linked to it.
For the connection of the RCA inputs, only use suitable shielded RCA ca-
bles. The use of other cables could cause interference. To prevent distortion
or mismatching that may damage the product, only sources with a cinch
output may be connected to the cinch inputs of the amplifi er.
Devices with a LINE output level, a CD player or cassette deck, may be connected to the cinch
inputs of the product. The signal from the cinch inputs is transmitted to the cinch outputs. Ad-
ditional amplifi ers, for example, can be connected.
• The white cinch input on the product is connected to the left cinch output on the corresponding
control source (e.g. CD player).
• The red cinch socket on the product is connected to the right cinch output of the corresponding
control source (e.g. CD player).
