Safety instructions for circular saws

a. Warning: Keep hands away from cutting area and blade. Keep your
second hand on auxiliary handle or motor housing. It is not possible to come
into contact with the saw blade if both hands are placed on the machine.
b. Do not reach underneath the workpiece. The guard can-not protect you from
the blade below the work.
c. The cutting depth should be adjusted according to the thickness of the
workpiece. Less than the full height of the saw blade tooth should be visible
under the workpiece.
d. NEVER hold the workpiece being cut in your hands or across your leg.
Clamp the workpiece to a stable surface. It is important to clamp the
workpiece securely to minimise the danger posed by bodily contact, jamming of
the saw blade or loss of control.
e. Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping surfaces only when
performing an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden
wiring or its own cord. The metal parts of the machine also become live if the
saw blade comes into contact with a live power line.
f. Always use a fence of a parallel guide when cutting lengthways. This
provides for a more accurate cut and reduces the possibility that the saw blade
jams.
g. Only use saw blades with the correct diameter and bore size. Saw blades
which do not fit the saw's blade clamping mechanism run 'out-of-round' and can
lead to a loss of control over the machine.
h. Only original and undamaged blade clamping flanges and / or screws
may be used. The blade clamping flanges and screws supplied are designed
specially for the saw and ensure optimal performance and safety.
